Robert E Tank Road 164We drove Forest Service Road 164 with the intent to drive as close to the verde river as possible. However, a stretch of 12 inch or higher limestone steps and the afternoon moonsoon clouds convinced us to turn back with about 2 miles to go to the river.

Fall Colors on Senator Highway

The best place to see the fall colors in Prescott is on Senator Highway along the saddle between Mount Union and Mount Trittle.

Honakai Heritage Site

The Honanki Heritage Site cliff dwelling and rock art site is located near the town of Sedona in north-central Arizona. The site is managed by the U.S. Forest Service.

Sycamore Pass Road to Bill Gray RoadWe drove Sycamore Pass Road west of Sedona to the trail head and then drove south on Bill Gray Road to US89A. Sycamore Pass Road past the turn to Robbers Roost definitely requires a high clearance 4WD vehicle.
